Fun with Colours is perfect for beginners and is a great way to measure progress.

There are 10 routines to do each with a maximum score of 27 points.

Routines

1. Pot the Lot!

Line the six colours a ball’s width apart as shown.

Placing the cue-ball for each colour in turn, straight pot the lot into the facing middle pocket.

2. Colours Clearance

Put the colours over the pockets as shown.

Placing the cue-ball for the first shot only, clear the colours in the correct order.

3. Pots from the Cushion

Line the six colours between the middle pocket and pink spot as shown.

Placing the cue-ball a ball’s width from the side cushion each time straight pot the colours into the facing middle pocket.

4. Stun Mania

Position the colours as shown.

With the cue-ball placed for the first shot only, stun pot the colours in order.

Maximum score is 27.

5. Rest Pots

Line six colours 2 ball’s width apart, splitting the yellow or green spot as shown.

With the cue-ball placed each time, pot each colour using a rest into the yellow pocket.

If left-handed put the colours the other side of table and pot them into the green pocket.

6. Pots along Top Cushion

As shown, position the colours tight against the top cushion.

Placing the cue-ball at least one ball’s width from the top cushion each time, pot the colours along the cushion into the same top corner pocket.

7. Colours in Order

Line the six colours two balls’ widths apart with the blue spot splitting them in half.

Starting with the yellow clear the colours in order, playing the cue-ball from where it finishes each time.

8. Across Cushion Pots

As shown, evenly line the colours along a top side cushion.

Placing the cue-ball just off the cushion each time, pot each colour into the green pocket whilst bridging across the cushion.

If left-handed put the colours the other side of table and pot them into the yellow pocket.

9. Colours Safety

Line the colours between the blue and black spots as shown.

With the cue-ball played from behind the baulk line each time, clip of each colour in sequence returning the cue-ball back behind the baulk line.

For shot to count some part of the cue-ball must come back to rest behind the baulk line and the colour played must stay in the top half and then be taken off the table!

10. Clear the Colours

Spot the colours.

Starting with the yellow into the yellow pocket, clear the colours in the correct order.
